The Buddhist Museum Complex of Sri Dalada Maligawa

 The Buddhist Museum Complex is a significant component of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, Sri Lanka. This complex is comprised of two main museums: the International Buddhist Museum and the Sri Dalada Museum.

The International  Museum.

The International Buddhist Museum is located in a historically significant building that was formerly the Kandy High Court. This colonial-era building was constructed by the British on the site of the ancient palace of King Wimaladharmasuriya I. The museum, opened in 2011, is dedicated to showcasing the rich heritage and global spread of Buddhism. It features dedicated pavilions from over 17 countries, including India, China, Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, and others, each displaying unique artifacts and cultural representations of their Buddhist traditions.

Temple of  Tooth Relic Museum.

The Sri Dalada Museum is situated on the upper floors of the Alut Maligawa building within the temple complex. This museum houses a valuable collection of artifacts, including gifts presented to the Temple of the Tooth Relic by various world leaders and Buddhist dignitaries. It also contains historical documents, photographs, and other items that narrate the history of the temple and the sacred tooth relic. Notably, this museum also has exhibits documenting the temple's history, including the damage from a 1998 attack.

ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාවේ බෞද්ධ කෞතුකාගාර සංකීර්ණය

ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාවේ බෞද්ධ කෞතුකාගාර සංකීර්ණය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මහනුවර පිහිටි ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාවේ වැදගත් අංගයකි. මෙම සංකීර්ණය ප්‍රධාන කෞතුකාගාර දෙකකින් සමන්විත වේ: අන්තර්ජාතික බෞද්ධ කෞතුකාගාරය සහ ශ්‍රී දළදා කෞතුකාගාරය.

අන්තර්ජාතික බෞද්ධ කෞතුකාගාරය පිහිටා ඇත්තේ මහනුවර පැරණි මහාධිකරණ ගොඩනැගිල්ලේය. මෙම ඓතිහාසික ගොඩනැගිල්ල බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයන් විසින් ඉදිකරන ලද්දේ පළමුවන විමලධර්මසූරිය රජුගේ පුරාණ මාළිගා භූමියේ ය. 2011 වර්ෂයේදී විවෘත කරන ලද මෙම කෞතුකාගාරය බුදු දහමේ පොහොසත් උරුමය සහ ගෝලීය ව්‍යාප්තිය පෙන්වීම සඳහා කැප වී ඇත. එය ඉන්දියාව, චීනය, ජපානය, තායිලන්තය, මියන්මාරය සහ තවත් රටවල් 17කට අධික සංඛ්‍යාවක මණ්ඩප වලින් සමන්විත වන අතර, සෑම එකක්ම ඔවුන්ගේ බෞද්ධ සම්ප්‍රදායන්ට ආවේණික කෞතුක භාණ්ඩ සහ සංස්කෘතික නිරූපණ ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරයි.

ශ්‍රී දළදා කෞතුකාගාරය පිහිටා ඇත්තේ දළදා මාළිගා සංකීර්ණය තුළ පිහිටි අලුත් මාළිගාවේ ඉහළ මහලවලය. මෙම කෞතුකාගාරයේ විවිධ ලෝක නායකයින් සහ බෞද්ධ ප්‍රභූන් විසින් දළදා මාළිගාවට පූජා කරන ලද වටිනා කෞතුක වස්තු රැසක් ඇත. එමෙන්ම, දළදා වහන්සේගේ සහ දළදා මාළිගාවේ ඉතිහාසය විස්තර කරන ඓතිහාසික ලේඛන, ඡායාරූප සහ වෙනත් භාණ්ඩ ද මෙහි අඩංගු වේ. විශේෂයෙන්, 1998 වසරේ සිදු වූ ප්‍රහාරයකින් මාළිගාවට සිදු වූ හානි පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු ද මෙම කෞතුකාගාරයේ ප්‍රදර්ශනයට තබා ඇත.
